Read ALL of them. Use the ones that can make your life better and ignore the ones that can.

  1. When playing games with children, let them win.

2. Compliment the meal when you’re a guest in someone’s home.

3. When someone treats you to lunch or dinner, don’t order the most expensive dish on the menu. Also, treat them the next time.

4. Step outside to answer phone calls.

5. If someone shows you a photo on their phone, don’t swipe left or right. If they want to show what’s next, they’ll do it.

6. If in a fight, hit first and hit hard. Or Just Don’t Fight!

7. If you’re about to leave a bench, but if another person sits next to you; wait a few extra minutes before leaving, so you don’t hurt that person’s feelings.

8. If you see a car at the far end of a parking lot, that is spaced out and away from all other cars, don’t park directly next to them.

9. If you see a guy peeing into a urinal, and there are open urinals all around him, don’t use the urinal right next to him.

10. If you see someone on a treadmill at the gym and there are open treadmills all around them, don’t use the treadmill right next to them.

11. If you see someone standing alone and away from other people, don’t walk all the way over to them and stand right next to them.

You’ll notice a pattern here.

I see people doing this all the time, especially #1 & #3. Just stop it, folks.

12. Dress well no matter what the occasion.

13. Always carry cash.

14. Listen, nod and most of all make eye contact.

15. Show restraint in expressing anger, no matter what. Being angry is a waste of energy.

16. Whether it’s dinner, drinks, or both, avoid using your phone on the dinner table.

18. Ask more than you answer.

19. Proper grammar is good, use it more often.

20. You can tell a great deal about a person by their handshake, so make yours strong and firm.

21. Speak honestly. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

22. Don’t ask awkward questions like ‘Oh so you aren’t married yet?’ Or ‘Don’t you have kids’ or ‘Why didn’t you buy a house?’.

23. If you take a taxi with a friend, and he/she pays now, you pay next time.

24. Don’t call people on the phone very late if it’s not really important.

25. Praise publicly. Criticize privately.

26. If you’re getting a long flight or train, shower before. The person next to you will appreciate it.

28. If a person is speaking directly to you, staring at your phone is rude.

29. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, don’t ask them their age and salary.

30. When someone you know has an obvious change in appearance, e.g., weight gain/loss, bald spot, acne. never comment on it until they talk about it to you, they already know what happened to them.

31. Do not view every post on Facebook as an opportunity to argue/debate, even if does not conform to your views or beliefs.

32. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up your call that mean they have something more important to attend to.

33. When someone drops something on the floor by mistake or drops food from the plate or doesn’t know how to use a knife/fork don’t stare at them. The same goes for people sneezing, coughing, or even an uncontrollable fart. It’s an involuntary reaction.

34. Return money that you have borrowed even before the other person remembers lending it to you. It shows your integrity and character. The same goes for umbrellas, pens, and lunch boxes.

35. Hold the door when you walk in after someone.

36. Never give advice until you’re asked.

37. If a girl’s strap is out, don’t stare at it. It gives the same feeling when you guys forget to close the pant’s zip.

38. If someone is typing a password, just look away, turn to the other side.

39. Don’t rub your crouch in public rather walk with your legs spread two to three steps and you will be good to go.

41. Don’t streak text anyone. Wait for their response and then proceed further.

42. Don’t listen to songs without earphones in public.

43. Don’t point out obvious abnormalities in people. They know what it is well. You don’t have to remind them again. They know they are bald, fat, with white hair and the list goes on.

44. Scream all you want just don’t cut the call while the other is still speaking.

45. Don’t make weird sounds while eating and drinking.

46. Offer the last slice of food to the host.

47. Always take care of your breath and body fragrance.

48. Always warm your hand before a handshake.

49. Always wear simple but decent clothes when you go out on a first date with a girl. Avoid formals as they give the impression that you are trying too hard.

50. Don’t stare at someone for more than 5 to 10 seconds tops. It makes them feel uncomfortable and makes you a creep.

51. Don’t reveal too much about yourself in the first 3 months of the relationship/to any of your friends (never) ever. Your partner may not be ready to accept those things about you at such an early stage and that may result in a spat. Slowly reveal some very deep secrets about you to him/her so that they can get used to it easily.

52. If you want to get things done by a government official, ask him/her for it very politely and be patient. Always address him by Sir and her by Madam and your work will be done in the minimum possible time.
